Our Purpose at Mary’s Mission Inc.
At Mary’s Mission Inc., we believe in the power of physical activity to transform lives. Our goal is to provide comprehensive fitness programs and support services for individuals of all abilities, helping them develop strength, confidence, and a sense of community. We understand that fitness is more than just movement—it’s a pathway to self-discipline, personal growth, and well-being.
Through our fitness programs, we strive to:
✔ Empower individuals to build physical strength, endurance, and motor skills at their own pace.
✔ Foster a supportive and welcoming community where everyone, regardless of ability, feels valued and included.
✔ Enhance self-confidence and personal achievement, both inside and outside of the fitness space.
✔ Encourage lifelong healthy habits by making physical activity accessible, adaptable, and enjoyable.
Our programs are designed for all abilities, including individuals with and without disabilities. Whether someone is looking to improve their fitness level, engage in structured training, or participate in fun sports like Taekwondo, resistance training, and obstacle courses, they’ll find a place to belong and grow at Mary’s Mission.
The Story Behind Mary’s Mission Inc.
Mary’s Mission Inc. was founded by Grandmaster Mary Smith, a dedicated martial arts instructor with over 45 years of experience in Taekwondo and 19 years working in special education within the public school system. Throughout her career, Mary witnessed firsthand the transformative power of movement, discipline, and fitness—not just for athletes, but for individuals of all abilities.
Driven by a passion for inclusivity and empowerment, Mary developed a specialized Taekwondo program designed to help children and adults build confidence, physical strength, and self-discipline. Seeing the profound impact these classes had on participants, she expanded her vision beyond martial arts to create Mary’s Mission Inc.—a nonprofit dedicated to making fitness accessible to everyone, regardless of ability level.
What started as a small, local effort quickly grew into a thriving community. Today, Mary’s Mission serves a diverse group of participants, offering programs like Taekwondo, resistance training, obstacle courses, and more. With future expansions on the horizon—including team sports, outdoor adventures, and corporate wellness programs—the organization continues to break barriers in fitness and empower individuals to reach their full potential.
At Mary’s Mission, fitness is for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete, new to exercise, or looking for an inclusive space to train, you’ll find a supportive and welcoming community ready to help you succeed.
