  • Taekwondo

    Taekwondo, is at the heart of Mary’s Mission. This Korean martial arts program is specially designed to be inclusive of children and adults with various abilities! Private lessons available depending on availability.

    Benefits:

    Physical Development: Taekwondo improves balance, coordination, and motor skills, helping participants build strength and endurance.

    Cognitive Growth: Martial arts require focus, concentration, and discipline, fostering critical cognitive skills that translate into other areas of life, such as problem-solving and emotional regulation.

  • Obstacle Course Program

    Starting in Spring 2025! Our Obstacle Course Program combines fun and fitness, offering a creative way for participants to challenge their physical abilities while having a great time. Participants navigate a variety of obstacles, building resilience and strength in the process.

    Physical Fitness: The obstacle course promotes agility, strength, and cardiovascular health, all while being adaptable to the unique needs of each individual.

    Problem-Solving: Navigating the obstacles encourages participants to think critically and develop strategies to overcome physical challenges.

    Social Interaction: This program is a fantastic way for participants to engage with others, practice teamwork, and support one another in achieving their goals.

    Confidence Building: Successfully completing obstacles gives participants a strong sense of accomplishment and boosts their self-esteem.

  • Resistance Training

    Starting in Spring 2025! Resistance training is a vital part of maintaining physical health and is particularly important for individuals with disabilities. Our certified personal trainer works closely with each participant to develop a safe and effective training regimen.

    Benefits:

    Muscle Strengthening: Resistance training improves muscular strength and endurance, helping participants develop stronger bodies and maintain their physical health.

    Bone Health: Weight-bearing exercises improve bone density, which is crucial for individuals with mobility challenges.

    Mental Focus: The structured nature of resistance training promotes discipline and the ability to follow instructions.

    Social Support: In a group setting, participants can motivate and encourage one another, building a sense of community.

    Our Volleyball program will allow you to experience the joy of team sports. Led by experienced volleyball coaches, this program is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game while ensuring that each participant can play at their own pace.

    Coordination and Agility: Volleyball enhances hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and agility.

    Teamwork: Participants learn the value of working together, communicating, and supporting one another on and off the court.

    We modify the rules and equipment as needed to make sure that everyone can participate fully, ensuring that each player experiences the joy of the game.

  • Rock Climbing

    Our Climbing Wall program gives participants the opportunity to challenge themselves physically and mentally. Under the supervision of trained instructors, participants learn to navigate climbing routes designed to suit their abilities.

    Benefits:

    Physical Strength: Climbing builds muscle strength, coordination, and endurance, making it an excellent full-body workout.

    Problem-Solving: Each climbing route presents a puzzle to be solved, requiring participants to think strategically and make decisions in real-time.

    Social Interaction: Encouragement and teamwork are key components of this program, as participants cheer each other on and celebrate successes together.

    Confidence Building: Reaching the top of the wall gives participants a tremendous sense of accomplishment, boosting their self-esteem and encouraging them to tackle new challenges.

    Golf: A relaxing yet challenging sport, our adaptive golf program will help participants build strength, precision, and focus while enjoying the outdoors.

    Hiking and Outdoor Adventures: This program will offer guided hikes and other outdoor activities, encouraging participants to stay active while connecting with nature.

    Dancing: A fun and expressive way to stay fit, our adaptive dance classes will allow participants to explore movement and rhythm in an inclusive environment.
